Temporary Closure of Gondar Center
Due to ongoing tribal and political tensions in Ethiopia, we have had to make the difficult decision to freeze our activity in Gondar until further notice. We very much wished to continue our services there, especially since the center in Ethiopia was the very first Project TEN center to open. The people we work with in Gondar mean the world to us. However, due to violent events in the area, and based on the recommendations made by The Jewish Agency's security authority to cease our operations there until the situation stabilizes, we decided this. We see this not as a goodbye, but as a li'hitra'ot ("see you again soon" in Hebrew), and intend to return as soon as the situation allows. We are thinking of our friends and partners in Ethiopia and wish them peace and safety.
