  • Martine Fleishman Chair of the Advisory Committee Martine Fleishman is the Chair of the Advisory Committee. Martine Fleishman grew up in Johannesburg, South Africa, where she earned a BA, honors in languages before moving to Westchester, New York with her husband, Stanley. With a graduate certificate in Non-Profit Management and Leadership, Martine has dedicated her career to the Jewish community, Israel, and social justice. A Wexner graduate, Martine has served as president of the UJA-Federation of New York Women's Philanthropy; as a cabinet member of the Commission on Jewish People, Jewish Identity and Renewal and the Network Commissions of UJA Federation of New York. A past board member of Westchester Jewish Community Services, and past President of Hillels of Westchester. She was co-chair of the UJA Federation Rosenwald 90th Anniversary Mission to Israel. She currently is Westchester Regional chair for UJA-Federation of New York, an active member of the National Board of Governors of the American Jewish Committee, a member of the Taglit-Birthright Westchester council, board trustee of The Solomon Schechter School of Westchester, where her children attended school, and board member of The Jewish Education Project. Martine was a recipient of UJC's Jesselson Young Leadership Award and the Kipnis-Wilson/Friedland Lion of Judah Award. Martine and Stanley live in Harrison, New York. Their now three adult children live and work in New York and Los Angeles. In her spare time, Martine enjoys tennis, exercise, Jewish learning, travel and entertaining.
  • Benny Levin Founding Partner Benny Levin served in the Israel Defense Force (IDF) Intelligence Corps and retired with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel. In 1978 during his army service he was awarded the Chief of Intelligence Decoration for Creative Thinking. Benny co-founded NICE Systems a worldwide leader of multimedia digital recording solutions for business interaction management, where he served as NICE’s President and Director from its inception and as Chairman and CEO from 1998 to 2001. Under Benny’s leadership the company achieved impressive growth and raised significant funds, both on NASDAQ and the Tel-Aviv Stock Exchange (TASE). From 2004 to 2012 Benny served as Chairman of the Board of dbMotion. dbMotion enables forward-looking healthcare organizations to seamlessly connect and coordinate healthcare, linking clinicians within their facilities, beyond their walls and across their networks. Since retiring from most of his business activities, Benny dedicates himself to a wide array of social and philanthropic activities. He serves as Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of Israel Venture Networks. IVN is a social investment organization, bridging social gaps and generating systemic change in Israel through high-impact programs and hands-on venture philanthropy for over 10 years. Benny serves as Active Chairman of the Board of the Ben Yakir youth village, assisting youth at risk mostly from the Ethiopian community and is involved in a variety of other philanthropic activities as a member of the Israeli Board of the Jewish Funders Network (JFN) and the board of Hakol Hinuch. Benny is the Founder of JDOCU, a group of philanthropists and photographers that use the camera as a tool for documenting the activities of Tikkun Olam ('Repair the World') with the partnership of JDC, making it part of a global culture with special emphasis on Israeli and Jewish culture. Benny has a bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Electrical Engineering from the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa.
  • Melinda Goldrich Founding Partner Committing both time and financial support to a number of local and international organizations, Melinda is continuing her father's legacy of Jewish Philanthropy. As an 87 year old Holocaust survivor, her father established a family foundation with a commitment to Holocaust and Jewish education into the future. Currently with her father and sister's family, the Foundation is supporting the Holocaust Museum they built in Los Angeles and additions to a number of educational institutions in Israel, where her father fled to and remained during WWII. She has now expanded the concept of Jewish education to include Jewish summer camping and service programs for young adults. Her belief is that the legacy of philanthropy needs to be shared with future generations, especially youth and young adults.
    Although she saw through example what the power of philanthropy can do, she wishes that more direct conversation and education about its importance and how to steward the family's financial legacy would have occured. Melinda believes that the the passing of knowledge and intent is just as important to the philanthropic future as the passing of the funding.
  • Trachten Family Foundation Founding Partner Morris and Sylvia Trachten Family Foundation supports needs throughout the Jewish world as well as secular needs. Vicki Trachten, Gary Trachten and their parents and siblings financially underwrite the needs of institutions, families and individuals on a case-by-case basis.

  • Neshamot Fund Founding Partner The UJA Federation of New York Neshamot Fund is a Women’s Venture Philanthropy group based in Westchester County that has given grants totaling more than $1.3 million in the areas of Jewish women and children at risk and Jewish continuity.
